Just joking. Just joking.
Back on topic, that review must have taken a fair bit of work - how long did it take you?

My bet would be the GTL settings... I have found that the 45nm Chips are particularly effected by the GTL settings and a lot of stability can be found by tweaking them. See the bios OC settings in my review![]()

Is floppy the only way to flash these boards?
This is a major problem!
im using an e6600, what GTL settings would be recommended for 65nm cpus, currently using the defaults which are 110.
Ive just ran prime now for 25 n a half hours at 450x8, no errors, but cod4 and ut3 crash after 5 to 10 mins![]()

Welcome Back DFI, hehe they used to make some good stuff, prefered EPOX though!![]()

No it doesn't boot from the USB stick, it just reads the updated BIOS file from it.The motherboard has to support bootable sticks tho, but since you mentioned it then I assume it does. Cool![]()
Yeah i got a fan on mine now to keep temps down but would rather whack a block on it
Would you be able to tell me what other voltage settings you are using? Mine currently running at 450x8, so 3.6ghz, my board passed prime95 for 16 hours but im getting crashing in games
Could it be my PVM's over heating causing the crashes?
Where I have had issues with systems passing prime then failing when playing games, I tend to look at the PSU as often the graphics draws huge power from the PSU in a way that doesn't happen when it's priming. Does it run 3DMark '06 OK? What is the PSU? I managed to blow up a Tagan 700W with a pair of X1950 Pro's in CrossFireX with mine, so I reckon it needs a hefty PSU with a big graphics card(s). I would also check the automatic voltage adjuster - I have mine set to 100.23%, but I have seen it add big chunks of voltage when it's set on AUTO. It may be it's fast enough to pick up the load on CPU/RAM stress testing, but not on games.
@Monstermunch, you did'nt say what cpu you are going to put under phase. But if it is an E8400/E8500, then i'm afraid the GTL values in your other thread will not help you. If you click the link in my sig you will find the GTL's needed to run at 4.6ghz are completely different from that list. This could be because of it being under phase anyway. I have another E8500 that is at 4.8ghz at the moment and GTL values for it are much the same as my old one. But i will also add that "clock setting fine delay" is also very very important as well. If the values there are wrong, then the clock will also fail.
The speed of the CPU is irrelivant to GTL settings, the only thing that is connected is the VTT voltage setting. See here for more details... http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17865450
