I must admit it, they do look cool. A friend of mine wants to change her relatively new Clio for a Fiat 500. Not sure it's the right move. I've been in a Panda a few times and it wasn't that bad - I can see why James May likes his.

Anyone here have actual experience with the 500? Is it as good as people say it is?

it's a good car to drive, no doubt
you have to think of it like the mini.

bad points - (relatively) expensive - you pay for the style. there's probably a gigantic waiting list. less spacious than a panda

good points - very customisable, lots of standard kit, and i expect it will have strong residuals too

Isnt the look of it based on a cheap old car?

Yes, but it's been brought up to date and so has modern styling and is full of electronic things that take the cheap and fun out of it.

I'm sure it's a good car, just not something I like or would like (wouldn't want the previous 500 either).

How big is the new 500 anyway?

I've seen a fair few, and have to admit, they look cool. They have a good stance to them, and the guy I saw hooning one round a roundabout in MK the other day looked like he was having a laugh. The car seemed to look like it was handling OK too.

And, for once, a small new car is actually small. Shock, horror! :D

god loves me and i hope that i will never see it for real! :) ugly betty thats what the car should be called :)
