This makes me want to sell a kidney or something.......

The Bimota DB7.

Has to be one of THE most stunning looking things on two wheels ever.

thing is with bimota is they have always relied on using other jap makers engines and though they spend shed loads on the chassis, they generally are slow... and cost way too much for what you get

it's like MV, look stunning but unless you get the very top of the range which costs silly money they would be too dull to ride ;)

edit: seems this bimota has a ducati 1098 engine with 160bhp at crank.. 170kg so it should still go pretty rapid :)

Om. Nom. Nom.

The Ducati walks it. I'd love something like that, but i know I'd kill myself within minutes.

Gorgeous looking machine.

I agree mmmmm.

And what a few minutes they would be, and plus, if you were dead, you wouldn't have to worry about insurance or anything :p lol.

If I could have any bike for free it would be a Desmosedici probably, but if it was me spending that kind of money (£40k) I'd get a £24k 1098R and pocket the change instead! Lose 20bhp, gain traction control, still not a Desmosedici though I suppose!

Edit: KTM RC8 above is more real world though, £11k and it has completely adjustable everything, all the riding positions and suspension, ride height etc, so it can be comfortable road going bike or focussed "head down - arse up" track bike! Less power than a 1098, but who cares when it can be ridden for more than 80miles 'till reserve out of a tank without also breaking your back in that time.

Ducati is best so far by miles in looks.. That first bike is too boxey and angled.. it looks like its a moden take on 80's design. nasty imo

Nice little Hurricane there, MrSix.

I still think the DB7 looks awesome although I agree the Duc does indeed, "walk it".

New BMW 4 cyl Superbike pics appeared today on the web:-

Apparently the road bike will come in at around the £11k mark.

Looks like WSBK next season will be very interesting indeed, what with BMW, KTM and Aprilia with their new V4 fielding machines to take on the current crop of Jap bikes and the mighty Ducati.

I just hope all the new teams concerned manage to get a couple of good riders onboard to do the new machines justice and develop them well.

Would be sad to see any of them going the way of the Petronas team.
