Well, I was stood at the bus stop this morning at 5.50am, Waiting for my Bus into town.

Here's my morning Journey.

5.50am into Barnsley
6.10am into Leeds
And then usually a connection train around 7.15 from leeds into Dewsbury.

So I arrive in Dewsbury at 7.30.

Then I have a 15 minute walk up to work.

For which I start at 8am.

Yes, it's a lot of travelling, But it shows how much the job is worth it.

Now, I've been sat here since 6.30am in the office, in Dewsbury. So that means I made it from Barnsley to Dewsbury in 40 minutes...including a 10 minute wait

How did this happen you may wonder.

Well, I was standing at the bus stop waiting for my bus, and it was delayed.

And I was talking to this old lady, Saying I'm supposed to be catching a train at 10 past, and it's now 6. And obviously that's not going to happen now. I have to be in dewsbury before 8.

And to my rescue, girly to my left hand side says, "Dewsbury! I'm going to dewsbury!"

So I look at my watch (But don't really let anything about the time or the consequences of a taxi this early sink in) and say
"Do you want to get a Taxi together and split the cost"

So we did. Talked lots, Nice girl. Lives near me. Arranged to meet up in future and travel to dewsbury together. win.

......And then I'm stood in Dewsbury at 6.25am :o

An hour and a half before work starts. An hour and a half added onto my day.

A warning, In future, Just because a pretty girl is talking to you. Still let your brain calculate things. Other than chance of scoring

That's just crazy talk!! God gave man 2 brains for a reason, one to think about mundane stuff like breathing, eating, working, etc, and the other to make "pretty girl" decisions :p

You still got up at the same time, you're just spending your time on the internet in the office rather than on the train.
Plus you got a date with a pretty girl from the sounds of it, so I don't see the problem?

thats a good story. there is hope for public transport yet!

I dont meet many girls in my mondeo on the M3, M25, M4. too difficult to shout to other cars at 70 as well ;-)

That's a good result in my opinion. You haven't added an hour and a half on to your day, as said above, you've just got into your office an hour and a half later. But, you now have someone to go to work with everyday, and the chance of getting laid by a really good looking/nice girl. Not that I need to justify the last part with the first part, but I thought I would anyway. ;)

haha, I don't think I said anywhere it was a terrible thing. More of a whoops, Now what am I going to do for an hour and a half :D

In the end, I actually managed to get a lot of what I was supposed to do through the day done this morning, Considering there are no students in the way! I'm an ICT Technician within Education if i hadnt said so already :)

And strangely, I feel much more energetic, Considering the earlier start!

Jammy git!

Today on the rare occasion i wasn't looking sharp, was the rare occasion a stunner was stood next to me on the train. Kick in the teeth or what. I'll be catching train same time tomorrow wearing some Oceans Eleven style.

I hate living in a town where the majority of people are so..so ugly :(. No, personality doesn't count, that's a fat person excuse. I'll move to brum next year, i can handle the gunshots if it means the chance of brunette magic!

you should have gone out got breakfast and congratulated yourself for a successful morning. then got into work early and made the boss a coffee i know its sucking up to him but brownie points are never bad

Or better yet, took her to breakfast! Doubt she had work at 6:30am.

How much was the Taxi?

My "man brain" has cost of money in the past, although it sounds like it was worth it.

Well, It had come to £18 when I got out, And she had a bit further to go, Although not far. So I paid £10, The gentleman I am :p

As for breakfast, That's not a bad idea actually lol. Never even occured to me
