Z's instead of S's in words such as realise

Don't get het up about it guys......

any girl will tell you ize doesn't matter, it's what you do with it that counts :)

I use 'ise' - it's what I was taught to use, and what I've always used. No need for me to change, it's still the same word at the meaning and still recognisable.

When you're at the computer it's easier to use t'internet than it is thumb through a thick and musty tome. Plus the internets usually gives you more detailed answer as to why things are. Get used to it, one day paper-based dictionaries won't exist.

I didn't flick through any old books at all, most dictionaries are on CD/DVD now.;)

I think the issue comes in that the American spelling is ize, whereas both ise and ize are accepted UK english. This annoys the hell out of me in MS Word when it switches itself to English US and complains about all the ise words, yet when I change it back to English UK doesnt complain about the ize spellings either misspelled or automatically changed. If anyone knows how to get rid of the US dictionary from Word id be very grateful.
