Heyy My little brother has a budget of Max £600 to buy a decent gaming pc, i have come up on some specs but i would hope to get some tasters of you guys.

Don't need paste as it comes with the cooler, also your HDD is a IDE get a SATA one plus you get more storage for only a bit more money.

8200 is a newer/better processor, gfx card is better than the cut down 9600, hard disk is decent and fast.

Surely case and psu are secondary considerations if its just for a gaming pc?

As long as it fits in it and has enough power, what does it matter?

Well i prefer the 9600 then a 8800, after reading a lot of reviews the 9600 has more overclocking potential and uses less power and also The temps are far way better while underload

The 8800 GT pwns the 9600 in just about every review I have seen. Its a cheaper card, but the 8800 GT is the better card if you can afford the extra.

If you really do have up to 600 to spend, whats the problem, just take the spec MP26's spec, and change the PSU and the case (since his was just a shade less than 500). Or simply swap the 8800 GT to a 8800 GTX.

The quad is £20 more than the e8200 but will clock to 3.2+ghz. I know games dont use all 4 cores but for 20 more pound its worth it tbh
