Average £214k

Haha it actually has my house listed there, as I moved into it last Summer, cost £298,000
 
Average terraced (what we live in) in my road is £940k for the last 9 months. The detached prices are slightly ridiculous.
 
I like to check through the areas I deliver too and I'm always shocked by the results. Let me put it this way, I wouldn't part with 150-200k+ to live in some of those holes. Not that I could afford too anyhow.

But sadly that's the way of this silly housing market. I'll have to keep checking the 'To Let' pages until House Price Armageddon finally arrives.
 
There are about 35 houses in our cul de sac and only 1 gets sold/bought a year roughly.

Average £179,149
Last £299,145 (Dec 07)
£207,000 (Apr 06)
£179,000 (Feb 04)

My parents paid £29k for ours in 1980.

Methinks this site is prone to typos as one house on my street supposedly sold for over £1.75 billion :eek:

Which pushes the average away over £35 million when in fact it is more like £150k or so.

yea i noticed a few where they'd typed like £300 instead of £300,000 :rolleyes:

lol it's one of those grand old houses you get in city centres, my work bought it to turn in to their base in this city. its twice the size it was before due to extensions and that price was in 2003 so couldn't imagine what its worth now :eek:

Street average is £128k over 13 sales. The older houses on the road have increased by around £110k since 2000 and are now selling for the same as the newer houses like ours despite having less bedrooms etc.
