What music brings emotion to you, and why? I'll start...

Mad World (Gary Jules)
- because it was no. 1 in the charts when my daughter was born and it seemed to be playing everywhere

American Pie (Don McLean)
- it used to be one of my fathers favorite songs and we played it at his funeral. Even though I used to love it too, I now find it hard to listen to all these years later. When I do hear it, it stops me in my tracks. Unfortunately he died just before we found out my wife was pregnant so he never knew about his grandchild (now grandchildren)

So what are your big music tracks and why????

there is a thread for this in music forum iirc :p

dj sammy - heaven (candlelight mix) : my boy was born to it (not our choosing but not a bad version) :]

I remember Snow Patrol - Spitting Games reminds me off the summer before uni before we left, always will remember dancing to it with all my mates the weeks before we all went our separate ways.

bob sinclair - world hold on

first night on first lads holiday entering the one and only BCM... best night of my life. this song was the song of the holiday and it came on just as we entered... another world.

Fake Plastic Trees - Radiohead

After my mates brother died he did a small spot after one of his bands gigs. He played the song whilst another guy sang it, the whole place was silent throughout. Was a really nice moment and a great tribute to his brother who was a legend.

"When you say nothing" - Ronan Keating

The soundtrack to Notting Hill and the first date I had with my wife was to go watch that film.

She just shouted over that i'm a softy for posting this :o

I've got a million songs that remind me of things in my life...

The whole Toploader album, Onka's Big Moka, reminds me of my first girlfriend as I was a bit obsessed with listening to it at the time :D

DJ Sammy - Heaven, was played constantly the weekend me and my gf first met when on a youth group outing.

Robbie Williams, pretty much any of his early songs (Rock DJ, Millenium etc), always remind me of the half hour coach ride I used to take to school, as they were always played on the radio.

My My My (cant remember who did it) reminds me of first year at uni, as it was always played in the club in town.

The list could go on and on...

Weezer - Island in the Sun

Just reminds me of when i first got with my bf almost 4 years ago! i used to have it on in the car all the time for some reason! just reminds me of happier times :)
