I've been struggling on with a Coolermaster Wavemaster for a few years now, and over time I've really grown to hate the damn thing.

I doubt I actually need a full tower, perhaps something smaller in dimensions but with loads of room on the inside, it's what I've missed most with this horrible wavemaster, it's like a matchbox compared to other cases I've used.

Basically I've got 100, 120 bucks at a push, to spend on a case that will be going into a notoriously hot room. I would love to hear someone recommend something with a nice silver finish, nothing flashy, just plain. If anyone remembers the older Coolermaster 101? Something like that would be ideal. Here's a pic of something I find pleasing to look at. That said, looks is the last of my priorities. cool, roomy, and well built. Can it be done on my budget?

What about this one?

Just had a price drop to £117.49
I wanted one for a while now but they were £164, once I seen they had come down in price I bought one.

Very nice. This is a strong contender. I need to make my mind up by monday, get it all built up by tuesday/wednesday.

It's between the PC-A17A, PC-A70A, and the PC-A10A. The A70A seems the best balance of practical and looks, it's huge and got more fans than the A10A, but the A10A is beautiful, and then there is Phillydee's write up and pictures that make the A17A seem like a total winner, it's just smaller and less sexy, but way cheaper... aaah, it's never simple eh?

At the high end of the spectrum, you've got the Lian Li A10, (mid tower) the A71 (full tower) and the Silverstone TJ09 and TJ10.

Ok!

I'm going to get the A17, thanks for all the input guys.

A17A or A17B? I'm a bit fussy about what is going into the front, it's going to be easier to fill the front with matching black parts than matching aluminium/silver parts, isn't it?

A lot easier.
For silver you will probably need drive bay covers, which lian-li kindly sell to match the case. But black is easier.

Get the silver case as you can polish out the scratches, whereas the black just looks scratched. And I defy anyone not to lean something up against a case, or drop a screwdriver on it, anything, that won't give a small mark eventually.

I can't believe the people saying Antec have better build quiality that Lian Li. Antec cases are shockingly badly made. Every 6 months or so they have a repeat of their warped doors fiasco and, as for being light, what's the issue with that? Antec cases are heavy because they are made from steel, which for the same guage is much heavier than alunminium. Steel is cheap and heavy, aluminium is more expensive and lighter. I don't think there is any great benefit to a lightweight full tower computer case, but in something like a PC-A05 it makes carrying a full PC to a LAN a fraction easier. However, light weight has nothing to do with flimsiness or poor build quality.
