Hi,
Back again!

Just finished installing my w/c system

I have the XSPC X") 750 Dual Bay Pump/Res, powered by molex, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-011-XS&groupid=701&catid=193&subcat=1042

I have unplugged the power cable and cpu power cable from the motherboard, and from hard drives/cd drives, so that ONLY this pump, the neon and the radiator pump are all connected with molex.

When I tunred the power on on the back of the pc, nothing happened.
Does the computer need to be on for it to work?

Remeber this is just installed! 1st try!

Why?

You need to jump start the PSU, by shorting any of the black wires to the green wire in the main 20/24pin plug from the PSU.

one more question, ive got the striker extreme, so, what happened if i plugged in the 24 pin power to the mobo, pressed the button at the back to turn on the led's and stop power to the components., thst may work

If you plug it into your motherboard, the only way to start the PSU will be to press the on button on the front of the case (or short the applicable pins on the motherboard). This will obviously start everything else as well.

Not if your PSU is in good condition. Even if it's knackered, transformers tend not to couple the input side to the output side.

The most you should get is 12V, which should not penetrate dry human skin (think of touching the terminals on a 9v battery, you feel nothing unless you pop it on your wet tonque (do NOT pop your 24pin ATX connector on your tongue! ) ).

Also, it's a momentary switch, you just touch it once and yer off (I think).

anyway its working good, and im running cool? BTW im running the radiator fan by molex, a molex to cpu fan cable was included, but the cpu fan socket on the cable was male NOT female? Doh, do you know where to get a molex to cpu fan female cable!
