That looks pretty decent - might pick one up for my laptop so I can use Guitar Rig while I'm out and about.

It comes with its own Gearbox software which is excellent.
I never got on with Guitar Rig.

I've got the Toneport KB37 with the keyboard and also it has dedicated bass and vocal inputs too.

The X3 does bass and vocal inputs too, it's got bass and vocal amps/preamps and what not on board too. Midi input as well, although I don't use it as my Korg keyboard runs straight into the PC over USB

Well, prepare that you will have to spend several hundred dollars on decent model packs. I have Toneport UX2 and default models are pretty weak. Ended up buying everything they had (you'll soon notice most of the patches use premium model packs anyway) and it still doesn't sound anywhere as good as GuitarRig 3 demo. Gear software interface is dated, often ackward and not as flexible as it should be imho as well. If you want POD, get hardware pod, otherwise there are better software emulators than Toneport range.

yes but it only simulates a small range of amps/effects, to allow access for it to simulate more amps and effects you have to spend even more money on model packs.

If you can't find something decent with what is given then you can't be very good at setting things up.
Some of the presets are naff but every now and then you come across a beauty and of course with the naff ones you can tweak (usually taking some of the effects off).
The range of amps/effects are excellent and some great sounds can be had and for £39 its a steal.

Can you only use this to record with the line6 software or can it be used with other programs like audacity as well? I noticed the ux2 (larger version with more inputs, phantom power etc) comes with a version of Ableton so thought this might apply to gx too?
