I've been in Korea the last week or so, and when I returned yesterday, I saw this WU. First time I've gotten it. It's running on one of my Quads in a four core smp mode configuration with a bit of OC, nothing earth shattering for sure.

Anyone else have any of these? If so could you post your benchmarks / config / OC data? Just trying to get a comparison

According to my stats, I've just dumped one but since I'm a long way away, I have no access to my rigs so can't get benchmarks (must sort out VNC when I get back :o).

If no-one else gets benchmarks, I can ask my flatmate (Kell_ee001) to have a go to see if she can suss it out but it could prove a bit fiddly due to the set up of the rigs (two are nekkid and one is headless).

I did notice a slight drop in WUs returned over the last couple of days. If these take a while to crunch and I've had one or two over that period then that may well explain it.

Just picked up one of these

Keiha, you haven't put what overclock you are running with.

I spoke to MBK on IRC and he seems to be getting these as well. Was taking longer than the ones mentioned here, he is working on his overclocking at the moment :)

Welcome back KE1HA, long time no hear :) How's it going, been a bit quiet over there from you :p

Currently got two of these on my E4300 @ 3GHz

Will post the benchmarks when I get home tonight

From me with an AMD X2 6000+ running at 3.15Ghz. Bloody slow going. The machine has been at 1250PPD for the past 3 weeks, and now i get 2 of these. Just when I need it to try and keep out of the way of Yeggstry. Typical.

Well you have pulled away a little bit over the last 24 hours. I tried to switch from the diskless to Arch and couldn't get Arch to work (I'm not a linux expert :p), so switched to ubuntu. The second client on each VM was then working as a standard client not SMP for some reason so that wasted a bit of time. Overall I didn't miss too much I hope, and the Ubuntu should now be a bit more stable when restarting the VM.

Are there any advantages to using Arch from a PPD point of view?

Did you remember to set the -smp flag?

I'd think my 4600 x2 @ 2700Mhz would take over an hour:eek:
Are these the new WU using the a2 core & need lots of ram?

Another long one!!

I want some of those :/ stuck with the 1760 pointers at the moment.

Can you let us know how much memory these use? I'm getting more and more tempted to move to Vista x64 now to get the extra 0.75Gb.

Anybody have trouble getting new work units?

Both my machine at work and at home haven't got anything to crunch :(
