Wii + online = updates to games? (map packs etc?)

Is it possible for Nintendo to release say extra maps for Mario Kart using the online system?

Are there any known plans for this?

If they do, this would rock :cool:

There is downloadble content for final fantasy in japan (suprise surprise)

So dlc is possible, but i dont think they have any plans to release an maps for mario kart

I suspect it's in the pipeline : due to the wii small internal memory though it's not as simple possibly?

Well GH3 and RB don't support DLC, so take from that what you will.

GH3 was released before the dlc delivery system was ready i suspect(tho i fully admit i could be wrong), and rb wii is a quick port of the ps2 version to cash in on the success of the wii.

there has been talk for ages about a hd and external memory but nintendo have said a few times that they werent making them however you never know with nintendo

I think they could do it if they wanted to. I just don't know if they would release it in Europe. Its the sort of thing they love to lavish on japan.
