Champions League Semi Final *Spoilers* 22/23 April

Now the scousers might know how it feels:D

Considering how boring a football these two sides play usually the second half was pretty good. Chelsea were dire, especially Lampard and Makele.
 
I love how we've played like **** all season, but we still have a chance of the league and the CL.
Grant may lack any tactical or motivational nous, but he's one lucky SOB!
 
well, i'm a touch disappointed obviously I thought we deserved more from the game but you've got to take the rough with the smooth. i thought skrtel and alonso were good today torres looked like he was trying too hard and just wasn't quite with it and chech (sp) made some good saves again.
 
Thought Liverpool were all over them. While they didn't exactly set the game on fire, Chelsea were simply woeful, and gifted posession away constantly, which just enabled 'Pool to continue pressing. Babel had a fantastic 10 minutes where they really should have gotten a second, but Torres looked too quiet to help today (he was getting fouled off the park in fairness).

Chelsea deserved nothing from that match, utterly shocking. Why take one of your best players (Joe Cole) off for a forward (Kalou), and then have him play exactly the same withdrawn Right Mid 4-5-1 role after? Why take Ballack off when Lampard did sod all the entire game? Why is Malouda even still earning a wage from them? How on earth are they so terrible and yet in the semis of the CL and 2nd in the league?

Sod feeling bitter about Liverpool, I'm bitter that such a shower of **** has gotten further than us in all competitions this season.

You reckon? I can see 90 minutes of incredibly defensive containment football from Chelsea, with maybe a bit of a pressing when theyget a decent free kick.

Absolutely gutted we din't finish them off tonight. I thought we could have had two / three goals.

It was a stupid thing to do by Ginger Tosspot (as he's now called) he's done that a few times before and gotten away with it but not tonight. Completley unjustified though but that's football.

Still believe we can have them but we have to score now.

Rubbish, I don't remember us moaning at all really after being beaten fair and square by Spurs and Man UTD to dump us out of two competitions this season. Again hard on the night but acceptable.

Edit - and Wenger's been like any other manager in "defeat" it's just that when he does raise issues about unfair games he get's labelled as a whinger.
 
Suppose our luck had to end at some point.

The tides changed when Aurelio was injured, before we were totally nobbing Chelsea everywhere on the pitch, then once Riise came on we were just completely dire. Our passing went out the window and Chelsea began to start attacking again.
