Well.... just completed it and to be honest i enjoyed it. Wasnt too repetative, last assassination was hard! and then the final, again hard! Only thing that annoyed me a little were the cut scenes (lots of them!), no skipping, and they talk quite slow!

Graphics are good, was playing with everything on max at 1440*900 with v-sync on with no slow downs.

All in all a good game!

This game has impressed me so far. I'm only on the 3rd assassination but I'm taking my time and really enjoying it. The narration is strong, it looks great and the free running is near flawless.

I can see the benefits of using a controller but the keyboard scheme works now that I'm used to it. Some of the animations should be skippable, particulary the eagle sync which you have to repeat so many times. I also wish there was a reward system for killing the templars and finding flags, etc. I guess Ubi weren't happy to pay MS for the Live Achievments system but it's absense is noticable.

Overall, AC has had more of an impact on me then GoW and Bioshock. It's combination of Prince of Persia free running and Hitman style hits is enough for me. Bring on AC2 - I'll be buying a copy.

Hi, Tweak guide is now available which doesn't say much but most importantly tells you how to avoid the intro videos! I don't really care that the game was made by a multi-cultural team - what isn't?

I installed it on my XP/DX9 partition and it runs and looks great but would it be better to install it on my Vista/DX10 partition?

I am so far hating the controls, do you leave the controls at default or is there a much easier control layout, what do you guys use?

What!! play it more :) I found the controls weird first too but now have mastered them. 've just acquired "ledge grab" technique and also the grab-dodge, I think I'm nearing the end but a few more kills left before the boss!

I'm being lazy and using my 360 pad. Wouldn't normally use on a non-driving game, but it works ok with this. Suppose because it's third person.

Did you stop because you did not want to play or because the game locked ;)

Any tips on how to make this game run with a little more fps?

I've turned shadows off but it hasn't seemed to help much.

Assassin’s Creed is a really good game and almost a great game. They just need to sort a couple of things for the next one and it will be awesome.

· More variation in the voice acting, as the random town folk become annoying because they have only three or four different things to say.

· More types of hiding places, as there only seems to be three, the haystacks, the rooftop shacks and benches.

· The ability to change clothing to blend with guards or townsfolk, because as cool as the white robe is, it doesn’t half stick out like a saw thumb and takes away a lot of realism.

· The investigation missions should get harder as the game goes along. The problem at the moment they become repetitive, as there is no difficulty curve to them throughout the game.

· Finally, for an assassination game there is little to no stealth required. You learn all this info about the guy your going to kill but it’s completely pointless as it always deteriorates to kill the guy then have a huge fight with his guards.

The next game should keep the free running and combat system but for me it should shoot for an open world version of Hitman.
