Champions League Semi Final *Spoilers* 22/23 April

^^ What are you doing in the Champions League Thread. GET OUT !!!! you Arseanal have no place in this thread, Be Gone !!!! :p

Manchester police have confirmed that John Arne Riise was stopped and apprehended on the M62 last night after the game.
Apparently he was heading in the wrong direction.

Hahaha. Oh how I laughed last night. Comedy. Simply because of the past I rejoice.

As a Chelsea fan I happily admitt they where useless bar the first 15 minutes. They did not deserve a goal.

Lamps and Makelele where terrible. Both should have been subbed. Drogba was back to his antics :(

Avram Grant should be sacked. His reactive approach is awful and his decisions last night shocking.

Lampard and Ballack together? I thought it was proven last season it does not work. Lampard was useless, Ballack was ok.

Thanks Riise for the gift. Fortunately for Loverpool they will still progress unless Chelsea really get their act together.

Vidic is doubtful with a stomach complaint, and Brown is doubtful too. If they don't play I'd expect Pique to slot in at CB, with either Hargreaves or Neville at RB (probably Hargreaves).

Tonight should be awesome, looking forward to it!

Stop Kidding yourself mate You have Absolutely Nothing to look forward to only Next season :D

I have to say that Ballack was the only Chelsea player that showed the attitude i want & even then he didn't show for most of the game.

I thought Ballack was rubbish. First half he gave the ball away so many times. Everytime he passed he looked as though he wasn't fussed whether it reached its target or not.

Agreed, It was more late on in the match when he started shouting & motivating i was on about but yes his touch was off on the day.

After trying my hardest to endure that game of 'football' last night I am now officially bitter that those 2 'football' teams progressed further in this competition than Arsenal. Oh my days that was just so BAD, I seriously can't believe it, well I think I can - it's hard though :(

Yes, not really the greatest advertisement for the "best league in the world"! Watching the game last night it is no surprise that liverpool don't challenge for the league, they just can't keep hold of the ball. Just shows how much a bit of team spirit can carry you in a cup.

I thought he was one of chelsea's better players in the first half, especially in the first 20-25 minutes.

Ballack looked to move with the ball but the entire Chelsea midfiled were too deep. They relied on hitting the ball over Liverpool's back four and hoped that Drogba could be arsed to either stay on his feet or run for the ball if he stayed on his feet.

Both teams conceded only one goal through defensive mistakes, Arsenal can only wish for defending that good. Sorry but playing great 'looking football' for 28 minutes doesnt win you silverware.
At least the Chelsea fans are realistic enough to know they are still not a complete team.

Stop harrassing me or I'll do something really horrible!

Every realistic Arsenal fan (including myself) is well aware that Arsenal are 2/3 players off being a complete team. A top class GK, CB and winger please this summer :D

I wasn't talking about 'great looking football for 28 minutes' - what I was talking about was the fact that this is the CL Semi-final and neither of those team could pass a football between each other, it was tragic. And isn't that just the nail on the head :( the main highlight of that game was the defensive mistakes, not the abysmal attacking play from both teams.

Your sig offends this thread & may possibly jinx the rest of the English teams, Please remove it :D

O & You started it >insert sticking out tongue smiley here<

What you don't know is both my Ma & my little Sister support Arsenal & have subjected me to Years of Abuse. My ******** Ma drove me around our manor in the back of a Mini covered in red & white when they won a cup back in the early 70's, Completly humiliated me in front of the locals :( + :D

I think the one thing i still really enjoy is the banter between footy fans but obviously only those that can take/give a joke about it.

:) all in good faith, you're right anyway - as an Arsenal fan I can only look forward to next season, and maybe the prospect of a 10 - 0 win vs Derby, but I imagine it will be 2 - 0 with 15 open nets missed by Adebayor anyway, so yeah, next season!

Also the thing to remember about the CL is the amount of games & intense games as well that both clubs are involved in during & up to the CL semis. The commentators gave the stats out last night of just how many clubs are succesful at going for a title & going for CL & i think it was just 2. Both teams looks tired & on top of that they had the pressure of a CL semi to deal with. Everybody knows the most important thing about the first game is to not concede & that showed int he way the game was played. Next game will be different as it's **** or bust time for both teams.
