Hi

I just purchased a ps3 and im wanting to upgrade my current monitor from a 22" to a 24" so i can use my ps3 for full HD gaming aswel as blueray films

at the sec im looking into the Dell E248WFP. Its only £270!

I have been looking for reviews ect but cant see nothing on google. What i want to know is will it support 1080i or 1080p thru the dvi port with a ps3, and will the vga be ok for pc gaming?? is there much ghosting at all? thanks

My current monitor is a Samsung SM-226BW. which i find is brilliant for gaming, apart from the resolution

If i was looking for a 24" LCD i would def. go for the OCUK 24" LCD around £220 i think - from all users reviews they now have the VA panel lottery sorted and viewing angles etc would be much better than a TN screen.

the OCUK 24" is a fine screen - id buy that.

Gateway FPD2485W. Just got 2 of these a few weeks ago. Great screens ;) Cheaper than your budget too by quite a bit. PVA panels, HDCP, DVI, VGA, Component, S-Video, Picture in Picture (with transparency), Portrait/landscape - with driver detection and auto-monitor rotation. Anti-theft (need pin number if moved if configured)....

Image quality is easily on a par with my previous Samsung 215TW (one of the best PVA 21/22 panels for colour/quality). No noticable input lag and 6ms g2g.

It will be used for gaming mostly though, and the new type of panels have more ghosting that a tn panel?

still looking at the E248WFP, i dont want to go with the ocuk because no dought the build quality wont be all that good
