**** I'm in the dog house!

I don't even have one. I borrowed one for the day. It was pointless as I'd have to take it off everyday for work anyway and within a year i'd have lost it.

Hopefully you will find yours, or buy a replacement she will never notice ;)

Oh dear.

Dont tell the wife or its not just that ring you will have lost.

*cue tip of heel's in between buttocks**

did you loose it outdoors? Its worth checking with the local police station in case it got found and handed in, it sounds old fashioned but there are still lots of good folk out there

Silly question but how do you loose a ring when you must have bioth hands on her?

Unless you have taken it off for another reason then just be honest with your wife. I'm sure she'll be upset but these things do happen.

Tghe only time I take my ring off is when I go the the gym because it wouldn't last five minutes and it causes blisters. As soon as i'm back it's staright on.

Hope you find it though as i'd be really upset if I lost mine.

claim on your house insurance, ive just had a new one after losing mine while doing a mass clearout of the garage and garden a couple of weekends ago.
not a bad thing for me, the ring i had i didnt originally want anyway (that comes with a story!).

pray continue :)

Sorry to the OP for off topic!

I was getting married in the Dominican and had finally decided on a ring about 10 days before leaving, went to the shop and had myself measured and the ring was ordered, should be ready for me to pick up 3 days before I fly.
Sounds great so far!!

Go into the shop, day before i'm meant to pick it up, to ask on its progress only to be told that it has not been done and won't be. Now, this had me worried. The man i was speaking to (actually the manager at this point) informed me that the ring I was sold should never have been sold to me for a couple of reasons: 1) it would have been way to thin and flimsy in the size i wanted (z+2 (rather large!)) and 2) the cut of the ring would have eventually caused me pain (being flat on the inside). The bloke who sold me the ring had left the company after a few other recent mistakes apparently (lucky job as i was furious).

So, I was then told that I could have another ring and was shown some more relevent styles that would look good, however, I informed the manager that I needed it in 2 days. This immediately meant there was no way I could have something other than a plain band.
The manager offered to have a band made so that I could get married, then come back to the shop after to have something specific made to keep, which I did not want. I wanted the ring I was married with to be the ring i would wear for life (unless damaged or lost).

So i ended up with a plain 18ct white gold band (heavily discounted of course). Was never happy with it.

My parents bought me a white gold ring for my 21st, I wanted to wear it on my second finger, but it needed resizing. The shop they bought it from said they did free resizing within 14 days. Handed ring over, went back 2 weeks later....THEY HAD LOST IT!!!.....got very upset because it was a present. They didnt have anymore of my ring in stock so I had to wait.

Another two weeks went by, the shop rings me and says they have found my original ring down the back of the drawer where they put resizing orders. Went to the shop that day, put ring on, they had lost it before they resized it, put ring on engagement finger, and there its stayed, I figure its meant to be the size it is for whatever reason.

Kinda comes in handy sometimes on the rare occasion im being harassed cos I can just flash my hand and say "sorry im engaged!" :D

tattooed wedding ring = never have to worry about loosing it!
(plus your wife will never have worry about you 'taking it off' again!!)

i don't own any very expensive or sentimental jewelry - but if i did, i KNOW i would manage to loose it - i hope it turns up!
