EVO magazine - New STi vs New Evo!

Hey all,

Anyone else got this yet? About time they pit the new UK versions against each other! STi got 4 stars, Evo got 3 1/2 I think. Evo weighs in just under 1600kg !! STi just over 1500kg. The new evo was the £31,995 price tag compared to £24,995 for the STi. Straight line the STi hits 100mph over a second quicker - braking is pretty equal. But the Evo was still just under a second quicker around the track. Both 300bhp, I can't wait to see what Prodrive do with the new STi. I'd imagine PPP will be 2k again, and just under 1k for suspension stuff, so you'll have £27,995ish for a really fast STi compared to a standard 300bhp Evo for £31,995.

Subaru have done great things pricing this car so cheap !!

they did however say they'd take an old evo IX over either, every single time

the really big deal in the new evo for me was the departure of Meaden, Bovingdon, Andy Morgan and Neil Carey the designer

i smell a new magazine in the air.....

Yeah the older cars are better IMO. These are far far too heavy to be anywhere near as fun I'd imagine.

New magazine.. called SUB instead of EVO? lol

Maybe it's because I can't afford them, but I just can't get excited over the All Brand New Not Even Anything To Do With The Last One Impreza WRXXX STIIII Version 37R versus the Even Madder Than The Last One Evo 46^3 FinFinFinQ 700, battling it out to the death again the same as they did 3 months ago when the previous versions were out.

I must be getting old

No stats will ever get over the fact that both cars are dog ugly compaired to their predicessors!

Persoanlly I'd take a sweet Evo9 GT over these any day, lush motors. Red with carbon please :cool:

Saw a new Evo the other day and it was really underwhelming. The initial view of it pulling out of a pertrol station it looked similar to an MG ZS with those grills in the front wing
