p.s-first ever use of a blast beat.

p.s.s-Who can say commodore 64 loading music at 5:50.

The album is superb. Some really nice experimental parts, not as heavy as a normal Opeth album. Oh and Axenrot fills Lopez's shoes easily. He's phenomenal throughout.

Is it better than that crap ghost river? I liked Morningrise and blackwater park and damnation or laminations or whatever. but that last ghost album was proper crap.

WTH?! Since when did they have a female singer? I know the guy singer has long girly hair but at least his voice had broken

The coil sounds like nightwish :/

3/10

HEIR APPARENTENT \M/ this is more like it LOUD!

... Its just gone to some girly piano :/

oh no its back DUHHHH DERRRRRR \M/

ROAH GOAR WASTE \m/

Meh this album is like ghost rivers, Opeth have truly gone the way of dream theatre

Still they had a good run, just starting going a bit niff naff since damnation

iBot you are so full of it, I've seen your posts around and you just haven't a clue what you're talking about. If you don't even know the album name then your opinion is clearly void.

I'm waiting for the album release before i listen to it, the suspense is killing me, but i want to wait till it's proper release so i can hear it in it's entirety! :D

Why because you have to inspect the artwork and read the liner notes before you can voice your opinion?

My cds go in my pc, converted to flac and then they go in a box never to be seen again.

But I'll admit I only listened to the first 4 tracks of ghost rivers once or twice driving to work. It never captured me like deliverance or black rose immortal did.

Go on then, I'll take the bait...

First off, it's Ghost Reveries, but I guess you knew that already. And while not as great as earlier Opeth stuff, it still has some great tracks on it. The "three minute Opeth song" is basically an introduction to the album, and the female vocals don't sound anything like Nightwish. Watershed is better than Ghost Reveries certainly, and has some great tracks. And I don't quite understand how they have gone the way of Dream Theater? Oh and Heir Apparent is my favourite track after a few listens to the album. Porcelain Heart is great too.
