Hazro Aluminium monitors now available from OcUK!!

they dont look goof for gaming but i guess looking at diagram good working with pictures and stuff like that pretty expensive to

What do you mean don't look good for gaming? I use mine for TF2/Assassins Creed and also used the 360 on it (1080p over component) without any issues at all.

No different to the Dell 2007WFP I had for gaming.

from Hazro...

Many thanks for showing interest in Hazro monitors. Hazro is currently developing the HCS [Hazro Calibration Suite] and will bundle this with the LUT [Look Up Table] technology incorporated into the AD Board. However, an ETA cannot be provided nor is there 100% confirmation that this will rolled out on the HZ24W [it is more likely to be present on the 26" HZ26W]. The total package, when made available will offer the following:

Hazro TFT Monitor
Adjustable Height + Swivel stand
HDMI, RGB, DVI and Component inputs
12 bit LUT functionality
Calibration suite [HCS]
Hazro OEM Calorimeter

Kindly refer to the website for all future updates on this issue.

I'm after the 24" Hazro as I don't want to deal with the wide gamut issues for now but it looks like the focus is moving more towards 26" which is wide gamut.

For me I'm most keen on the Vista fixes (which i understand is on its way), the LUT/calibrator suite (not positive from their reply) and VESA mount holes (web page says it's there but i understand it may be an optional plate?). Icing on cake would be HDMI + better stand and finally a USB hub but doesn't look like it'll come anytime soon for the 24".

I've just ordered my 24" on Friday so mine probably won't have any of the refinements mentioned above and if i'm very lucky, it'll have the vista fixes but i doubt it.

online competitive gaming the screen has to much ms lag ;)

Don't be silly, there is no such thing as millisecond lag on modern screens like this and the Hazro 24" is same as my Dell 2007WFP which was the same as my workmates NEC 20" GX S-IPS screen for gaming.

Shame there doing the hdmi port and more for the 26" or above... id be half tempted to get that but I feel for 26" + an LCD TV with scarts/more connectivity + remote it suitable.

Get a train down here if you like and you can see mine :p

I have to say I am well chuffed with the 24", the colours in particular, they're so natural and unlike other screens which have an overbearing bias towards one shade of R G or B or slightly more vibrancy than naturally needed. This is just right from all usable angles pretty much!

Don’t tempt me! :)

A chap over on the [H]ard forum recently put together a mini review of the HZ24W, he says its simply stunning in every way, far superior to any VA based screens he has tested in the past. It also needed near zero configuration out of the box, he just toned down the brightness a tad. I’m no monitor expert so having a monitor that looks great out the box is very appealing to me.
I really want one of these monitors now :(

That was me!

Indeed it's great out of the box but even better once calibrated :)

Of course it does; online competetive gamers have to keep themselves to TN panels and put up with the compromises they present. The rest of us who primarily work on their computers (with a little light gaming thrown in here and there) will just have to make do with the stunning colour reproduction and excellent viewing angles of s-ips based panels :D

I can understand the concern of input lag for competive gaming. This was mainly when IPS and *VA panels were first being introduced, suffering from 80-100 ms of lag, nearly 1/10 of a second

This Hazro 24" only has 32ms average input lag. 1/30 of a second is that really still too much ?

The due date (26.04.08) for the 24" version seems to have slipped as the item is just listed as pre-order!!!

I've already placed my order so its quite annoying - if it means that they are waiting for revised units then ok but a due date would be handy!!!

Wonder if hazro have stopped shipments cos there trying to get the Vista issue resolved now rather then later ?

Or perhaps offer a rev 1.1 with hdmi port ;)
