WIth MM6 fast approaching my car needed some new toys.

First up was to sort out the handling, the rear of the car has a tendancy to want to underster and so this was cured by fitting,

Whiteline Adj Rear ARB + new ARB links

Also there was a slight knockng from the rear this was tow knackered shocks, two new(used) shocks later and all is well, no knocikng from the rear.

Now that the hanlding it was time to sort out the power becuse sub 300bhp is so last year. ;)

First I bought a Blitz access ECU, should give me better mpg, this unit ups the boost (well should see later) and makes the timing more agressive raises the rev limit from 6870rpm to well over 7, didnt hit the limiter and so I stopped reving, turbo VTEC kicked in yo. :D

However as the car has a forged actuato to go with its td md117 turbo the boost wont go over stock 0.9 bar, even so the blitz has made a big difference the car feels more torquey and gives you a nice kick. However there was still the problem of 0.9bar

I think I may have fixed this problem with this

With this I should be able to up the boost to 1.1/1.15 bar giving me a bit of extra power. :D

But now I am poor, looks like its beans on toast for me this month.

id imagine the boost controller wasnt straight forward to fit either, i take it he did that too?

300bhp is very good from less than 1.2bar

I havent got that yet but seems easy enough for a n00b like me to fit.

The car made 290ish at 0.9 bar. So at 1.1 with the blitz access ecu as well.

did all the gt4s have toyota's later MAP sensor based ecu as opposed to the older maf ones?

never really had a good look under the lid on a gt4

Even @ 300? I think MR2s are hitting late 12s around the same power init? is there that much weight difference...

Good price, they seem to go for £400-£500.

Made a big difference?

The last one went on ebay for £700.

It has made a difference the car feels more torquey, wont notice the big difference until my ebc arrives and I can set the boost to 1.1bar.:)
