Quite funny watching the live timing - the fastest lap of the race just ripples down the field.
and the fastest is Sato on lap 2 !

There has always been that sort of incident through the years but there does seem to have been an increase in them this year.

The STRs do have the outboard mirrors - don't think you can see much in them.

I thought it was more the placement of the mirrors - seems the RBR and TR have a abd setup...

The new cockpit sides mean they have zero peripheral vison, they cant see out the sides so rely on the mirrors, and if these are poorly placed then it makes things worse. In each of the 4 races so far weve seen atleast one incident where they just didnt see them
