GeForce 175.12's for Vista 64bit all cards

Agreed 100%. I appreciate people finding them, but I'm not going to install random drivers that appear all over the place every 10 minutes. NVIDIA badly need to sort their official release procedure out.

Thats the only way we get driver support though unfortunately, by people leaking the drivers and modding them to work on our cards, only ATi do proper driver support, this is how it works with Nvidia cards, the way i see it is, at least were getting drivers, i don't care how we get them tbh, as its better than not getting any at all, which we wouldn't if they didn't get leaked, Nvidia do have to sort it out as you say, but i can't see that being anytime soon, as were still waiting for them to start their proper montly cycle like ATi, which they said they were going to start doing from January 07.

Indeed, after moving from my X1650 Pro to my 8800 GTS, the performance difference was staggering, but nVidia haven't updated their official drivers since December, it's a joke. Conversely, ATi drivers update on a very regular basis. Every time somebody says that ATi driver support is rubbish it makes me cringe a little at their ignorance...

Also ATi's drivers support all their cards, Nvidia just support their latest series (when they eventually do do some), which is the 9800's at the moment, 4/5/6/7/8 series owners are ****** unless they use the leaked ones.

One thing i miss going back to Nvidia, ATi's excellent driver support, lets just hope ATi can come out with a killer card, as ill be back like a shot, and i bet i wouldn't be the only one.

eh no :P well can allways try lolz the other ones out before this ones was for xp too anyways i got vista now so may install it seems to be better now with this new service pack.

Can't see XP getting these, theres no point really seen as Vantage is Vista only, and these drivers are only to improve performance in that.

No doubt another XP set will get leaked at some point though.

I don't see why not, there are other changes to profiles which would benefit XP users, new AA compatibility mode and quad sli support in a few more titles.

I can't see the 175.12's coming out for XP as they are Nvidia's Vantage drivers for Vista, if they are doing a set for XP, they'll be numbered differently i think, but if im honest, id say XP wont be getting a set yet, as we all know what Nvidia are like. :D

There not just for Vantage, as i posted on the first page, these increase my 9800GX2 performance, and also fix the low score problem in 3Dmark06 with the GX2 - i get 2k more points now.

SLI just works better with them on a whole. They also fix another bug when switching to SLI mode, where i'd get some random Vista message asking to shut down.

Messages from our source, NVIDIA is going to release a new driver for 3DMark Vantage. The driver is 175.xx, will be release at 3DMark Vantage’s launch day.

I know they are not just for Vantage, but its Nvidia who are claiming/promoting this driver is for it, so that to me says they won't appear for XP as the 175.12's, they will appear sometime (either leaked or released by Nvidia), just they'll be under a different number i think, so we'll just have to wait for them, unless they surprise us and release an XP set as well today, but what are the chances of that knowing Nvidia. :p
