Let us know what the Blitz SBC is like, thinking of getting one myself.

You going FMIC at any point?

Not yet, I have other cooling mods which helps. I think after a while I will sell the ebc and blitz access and get a full map to 1.2bar running a link g3 should give me 340ish

Cooling mods

-hybrid trubo, puts cooler air in
-Oil cooler with 82oc stat
-Copper rad
 
Even @ 300? I think MR2s are hitting late 12s around the same power init? is there that much weight difference...

Not a huge amount IIRC (the MR2 is a lardy car), but the MR2 is mid engined so has a lot of traction without throwing power away to a 4WD transmission.

Sorry thats my bad wording, it didnt understeer but it had the feeling that the back was lose and did not want to turn into the corner at speed, however this bar has stiffened up the rear and now it has a tendancy to grip and grip then start to oversteer.
 
How does that work then? Surely air is cooled by the intercooler after it has left the turbo :confused:

Well the larger turbo isnt working as hard as a smaller turbo and so the air it pushes through is cooler. Or so I have been told.

The standard turbo is ineffective at beyond 1.1bar and is then pushing hot air through giving you no more power, the turbo I have is set up for 1.5 bar and has larger internals and so at 1.1bar is not ovreaching itself.

Plus the gt4 has a chargecooler and so the cooler air helps keep the charge temps down

Makes sense. :cool: The air will still be hot, but not as hot. Main bonus is the turbo will last longer as its not off the compressor map and having its neck wrung!

nice upgrades Si, look forward to seening this it the flesh. I am still on stock handling at the moment so its pretty boatish. however come MM7 or the RR when ever that is Nismo S tune supension white line arbs and couple of locking collars should do me nicely. :cool:
