I see no reason why not. Not much between them going forward and imo Clichy a far better defender.

Agree, last year was a complete farce.Unlike last year the team is spot on imo.

As for this years team, apart from the full back spots which could've been given to a couple of players the rest were pretty obvious choices.
No they weren't. Scholes was missing for half the year because he went blind. How did he manage to get in ahead of Lampard who had an amazing season? Why was last season a farce?
Ok so it was a little let's say embarrassing the fact that only 3 players outside of utd made the team but VDS and G.Neville aside (and even that's a maybe) all the others were more than warranted of their inclusion

Last years awards were for last season a season where Scholes started and ended it without any injuries and was fantastic throughout.

I thought it was based on the calendar year? Edit: BaZ to the rescue!Last years awards were for last season a season where Scholes started and ended it without any injuries and was fantastic throughout.

Common mistake there. The awards are for the year not the season which is why the votes are made in January.
However because the votes are made in January it often means that the players are nominated based of the first few months of that season and not actually the year.

Even if it was based on the season rather than the calendar year Scholes only managed 7 goals and 3 assists whereas Lampard managed 21 goals and 16 assists.
Given that they're both attacking midfielders Lampards stats do mean he had a better season though.Stats such as them don't mean anything they certainly don't mean that Lampard played better last season than Scholes did for us.
So he got the pity vote?Scholes' inclusion was even more merited because of the injury you eluded to earlier.
Yep.Didn't last years one have Van Der Sar and 4 United defenders even though us and Chelsea had a better defensive record that year?
