Picked up the 32" today after seeing it advertised for £250 in the local paper, the owner has a free upgrade and paid £1100 for it almost 2 years ago.

Finally now no more CRT screens in the house (got a 28" Panasonic 100Hz on the bay now) and instead 42", 32", 24", 22", 20" and 19" :D

It has all the connections I would need for a games console + movie display in the play room, atm it's for the Wii via component out.

He let it go for £200 mint condition, the remote barely looks used!

I just had to share this Sunday bargain :p

Time to build a HTPC now methinks for some LAN streaming movie action!

£1100

The latest version of that tv (which i have) costs around 500 ish now.
Boy have times moved on.
Good bargain though! ;)

The sharp 42" in the living room was £1000 8 months ago and is now in the £500 region too!

The LE32R41BD was available for around the £750 to £800 mark IIRC when it was new. That's what I payed for mine anyway.

£200 is not a bad price at all for it though. If you find image tearing (particularly over component), there is a firmware update available for it.

Ah is this through the samsung website ?

I love the viewing angles on this thing, there's pretty much no colour shift at all and no black diluting/fading etc. It reminds me of my S-IPS PC . By comparison the SHarp Aquos 42" in the living room does fade the picture a bit towards the side angles!

I turned off the ambient light sensor and dynamic contrast though as I prefer them off and everything else is crisp and sharp!

I remember gazing in awe at the first plasmas when they hit the streets for about £12,000 - that was back in about 1999 ish. Now I've just bought a Panasonic PZ80 for 1080P screen for £849. Isn't technology great :)

I love the feeling when you manage to pick stuff up waaaay cheaper than it really should be. My Hifi setup would cost about £5k if I bought it new. I paid about £1200, and it rocks. It did take a while to buy it all; waiting for the right stuff at the right price often does.

So do i, looking through your window :p

Bagged another nice bargain on a tv unit and now all is complete!

Now all that's left is a HTPC with bluray drive !

:D Bargains are totally awesome....couldnt believe it when my Denon AVR-4306 turned up in literally brand new condition still had the tape etc over the front panel and the batteries sealed, and i paid well under half of what it's selling for! My speakers werent bad either, Mission m35i / m3c2 / m32i / stands / random sub for £205, the fronts are worth that alone :p

need to get a bargainous 1080 46" now to go with it :p

Indeed mate! I always wanted to get a 32" but the "new" prices put me off as it's only going to be used for console and the occasional group movie watching via HTPC so nothing majorly expensive is needed but still I wanted something good quality with the connectivity for future benefit and I was going to get a Crown 32" screen for £190 until I decided to have a 2nd look using different search criteria and BAM! this one showed up on the 2nd result, just happy the guy let it go for so little, still got the receipt with it and everything!

Well the bargain just got better as today I sold the 28" Panasonic CRT 100Hz TV for £60 and also threw in an old DVD recorder for £60 too.

Now in the market for a multiformat DVD recorder, anyideas on a decent one? it must have DIVX support and be able to record to blank dvds and read RAM discs .

I also need HDMI output or at least RGB scart.

:D

That's what I was going to say, it w a £800 TV when it was released as I originally bought that one then decided the 26" one was better for the room it was going in.

£200 is a good price now though.
