O&O Defrag 10 - a lil help plz

Hi there,

I recently changed defraggers from freebies to OO defrag 10. It all seems very nifty and what not but i need a lil help. i have set the defrag up as a high end machine used for gaming.

space. I use for storage/backup drives. but what should i use for my 2 main drives in raid 0?

I've used stealth lately cuz that automatically happens in the background while im not using my PC etc. I assumed access was the best for gaming. However when im not using the PC stealth happens and it makes my drive like 40% fragmented :/

Which method of defrag do you recommend?
Also the fragmented files are nearly always like the pic below:

How can i get rid of/fix these fragmented files?

use disk cleanup, in start, programs, accessories, system tools, disk cleanup, more options and remove all previous system restores, should remove them for you

p.s i use the space degragment over the rest

it's system restore files, disable it

hmm space im not sure is what i want to use cuz atm i have 2 drives in raid 0. So if it shoves all the files in space in a nice pile i could end up with all my data on 1 side of the raid 0. Thus only ever using 1 HD head to read data rather than two (maybe my understanding of raid is wrong but yeah lol)

I was about to ask the same question again (above) and searched my posts to find i already asked it and wondered what i should use.

with raid0, each file is split 50:50 over the drives

disable system restore and it'll get rid of that massive locked file

Thank you, space defrag inc! yes i have disabled System restore then re-enabled it.

i'd leave it off tbh, make an acronis image of your os partition/drive, and backup your data using robocopy/synctoy
