petrol prices

I saw 110.9 in my local station.

Funny how Americans cry when it goes over like $1.50. They should move here and see! They'll probably shoot themselves if they needed to pay our prices.

And how if you don't mind me asking have you managed that?

A very good mate runs a recovery/Van & car hire business & there is a workshop/Mechanic set up. People locally that fill there derv motors/vans ring Jim for recovery & want the fuel out & the motor sorted.
Jim recovers it & gets paid, Lee fixes it & gets paid, I drain it & keep the fuel.
Also whenever one of Jims cars comes back with a belly full of fuel he rings me & i go down early in the morning & suck it out. He rents his motors out empty & wants them back empty, If they are full then he'd rather i had it than a stranger. In return I'll help him out with a few favours.
Like i say he is a good mate & neither of those want to mess about draining fuel anyway.
I do have it well sorted though with a spare battery & a fuel pump & decent jubilee clips on my hoses, I also have a proper nozzle for my jerry cans. You'd be surprised just how clean my Ghetto filling station is :p

Just cost me £1.25 for Diesel. Not even the pimp stuff at that.

No point in moaning, the cost is only going to go one way so I just keep filling up and bending over. :(

Just like everyone else, you don't even get the spams about protest/boycott days any more it's just like the entire country has resigned themselves to the fact they're going to get humped for fuel costs and there's nothing they can or should do about it.

Long gone the days of rolling road blocks, protests, picket lines over fuel costs...

It's only going to get worse for us, while the government and oil companies rake it in.

I can forgive the oil companies as they are private companies and thats what they do, but the government deserves a right good kicking. If fuel costs were lowered people would have spare cash to spend in the shops to keep the economy going.

I was thinking the other day when I heard about the damage to the economy the strike at the oil refinery has done, that we don't even need to riot or strike. Just by sitting at home for a day or two without using cars would cost the government millions, those that tried to use public transport would cause it to collapse and everyone would see just how vital these "planet killing" machines are.
