A couple of weeks ago we picked up P-reg Megane for the wife to use while we got rid of the Arosa, no tax, 3 weeks MOT, would be just enough to get rid of the Seat and get something else then cash in the tax, and weigh in the Megane.

And then the Arosa went pear shaped and we couldn't get rid as soon as we thought so we've had to keep the Megane longer than planned and it needed MOTing. We took it down this afternoon and it only bleedin passed first time!

Almost in shock at this, think this has only happened once before and the car only cost £140 :D Think we might be keeping this one for a bit :D

Why are you getting rid of the *attention fox* VAG?

Too small with the kids. Probably a lovely city car, but not much cop once you put try and put a family in it.

The VAGina also gives crabby fuel economy, no better than our old pug diesel.

Specs of megane?

1.4 Paris Poverty spec basically, powersteering and naff all else. Awesome brakes though.

Surely the Megane isn't any better?

The Megane was going to be origianly going to be temporary, just a stopgap while we bought another "nice" car for the wife so fuel economy wasn't high on the list. Now it turns out it's actually a solid car things are a bit different. We don't have to grab the first thing she likes and can take our time.

Since my op i've realised i'm not going to be able to get behind the wheel of the SJ for a fair while (even hurts to be a passenger in a car right now!), so i'll be having the Megane once she's bought her next car.
