methane is "me" on my own = 1.
Ethane is "ethan" ** friend with u = 2
Propane is "prop" like a prop on a spitfire with 3 blades = 3
Butane is the other one I can't think of anything for, well...butt anus
Seriously, you have a problem remembering the sequence of 8 quite obvious chemicals? The last 4 follow number sided shapes...
Just revise while watching TV. It works so well association, I can still remember what active transport is in my GCSE biology from 4 years ago, and I can remember the exact scene in the film. A guy was pinned down and he had to charge through some gunfire to get somewhere else, essentially going where he doesn't naturally wanna go. Active transport is the way plants deal with different concentrations of chemicals to imbalance them even more, basically making the chemical on one side of a membrane even more concentrated by absorbing more of it through the membrane, related to the film, coz it's not where the chemical naturally wants to go.
Association is the most powerful form of memory retention. I have an incredible memory for no logical reason I can think of. I'm anosmic for a starters so I can't associate anything with smells... lol
Planets order are easy if you make up a story. Mercury, imagine it as a thermometer, really close to the sun, which heats up and like a cartoon, explodes. This glob of mercury flies towards venus, this divine goddess, who catches it, examines it, then tosses it over her shoulder into her back garden; earth. The mercury then hits a rock in this garden which flies and hits Mars, a angry red devilish looking guy, in the face who then gets really angry and starts jumping up and down. Things are about to kick off when this huge giant called jupiter comes striding down the road, wearing a T-shirt with "S.U.N." on it, which stands for saturn Uranus Neptune.
Now everyone who reads this thread will be able to remember the order of planets lol.
Seriously, revise for your GCSE's infront of the TV, it works.
