GTA IV on 360 or PS3

People who go off and shot up schools or muder others in real life due to "playing GTA or whatever game" are those who have some disorder mentally anyway or on drugs or social outcasts or from bad parental care (parents who don't care or teach values and respect). I've brought my kids up that games are for fun, none of its real "unless your going to be a space marine or a drugs lord", lol and its just pixels made up on a screen. TBH i find films far more disturbing and would'nt let him watch say Hostel or Saw because that is more visually real yet something like Aliens Vs Preditor - total made up and not real in my book would be fine. They know this, they know you cannot just go nick a car or beatup some person in the street and just get away with it, they been brought up to respect others.

They play games for fun as intended

As interesting as it may be talking about violence etc in this game it has nothing to do with what this thread is about and should be discussed in a new thread IMO.

Well thats the clincher, really good comparison vid.

In the intro I thought they were identical, peoples faces looked a lot more detailed on the 360 though. But when the gameplay started :eek: The PS3 was just blurry as hell! AT one point they pause it when they're driving around in a car and the PS3 version just looks really bad. i can't believe some of the reviews thought any different.

EDIT: And what was up with the getalife building disappearing while the player was right by it on the PS3!!

Very nice comparison video there, if anyone after watching that says that either version is ultimately superior/inferior then they are ******* crazy seriously, they look practically identical, I personally like the the smoother filtered look of the PS3 version, do I think it's better than the 360 version, nope, I know other people will prefer the cleaner look of the 360 one, I'm afraid which ever way you look at this time it comes down to likes and dislikes, no one version is ultimately better than the other, there is no winner here.

Were all the reviewers on smack. 360 is sharper and has a better framerate. When I'm actually playing instead of comparing :) I forget all about it :)

(Please dont take offence, not having a go at you m8) Non-fanboys actually want to compare them for a genuine reason.
I have a 360 and a PS3, and buy decent AV equipment etc etc so would like to buy the game that is going to look/run/sound the best.
Unfortunately these threads end up full of mindless crap from fanboys, so in the end I picked up both copies to compare and sell one on.
Agreed theres not a huge difference between versions, but as seems to be with 90% of cross-platform games, one system does it better than the other.
