I've got an interview tomorrow for a job at a gym, the thing is I haven't got a white shirt with me at uni!

I've got a brown shirt, assortment of smart trousers, beige tie and tan brown shoes...

Would employers be put off if i turned up in a Brown shirt, Beige tie, brown/black trousers and tan shoes? (I do look reasonable smart)

Or should I stick to basics and try borrow someone else's white shirt and wear a black tie with black trousers and tan brown shoes.. Like I usually would to an interview????

It's a dilemma...

You will look an absolute plum if you walk in there with what you have now.

Invest in a £20 white shirt, nice tie and a wear a black pair of trousers. Even if you can't afford a new suit, put the effort in and look half decent.

First impressions count....

If you dont feel comfortable in a brown shirt then dont wear it, do as suggested above, pop into a shop and buy a cheapy one off job.

Being comfortable is important in an interview

It's tomorrow at 12 noon

I would feel comfortable I think, just don't know if employers expect you to wear quite plain suits

edit: oh and my house mate said it looks fine just don't know whether to believe her or not.

Post a picture and I will give an honest answer. :)

Wake up extra early and catch a bus or taxi. If you really want this job, you have to put in the effort.

I could get up at 8am leave the house by nine, into Brighton central by 9.30, find a shirt and wear it then get to the interview by 12...

Looks like I might be doing this!

Just don't know whether what I've got already looks good or not?!

So buy a nice but cheapish tie to go with it as well then.
Smart pair of trousers that you already have, and job done.

Only if hot, of course.

lol ;)

She's gone out now but you probably would have enjoyed the picture..

Although if she's standing next to me she will look like a midget as she's short and I'm quite tall :D

I might get a picture up
