Its just my luck and fault to be honest, i should have saved more money last week, but i payed out things that needed to payed so atleast i wont be in debt. I just need the bus pass mainly. Mums bday present can be taken care of pretty easily im hoping.

It felt good when i had savings, because the week i didnt get paid i had to dip into the savings and it felt good to have a backup, but this week, i mean.. Its just stupid.

I feel like utter crap and its my 1st day of work for Hilton today! Going to be fun when i tell them i cant get to work tomo!!
 
Get your hair cut at your local further education college... it's very cheap if you're prepared to be a guinea pig for the wannabe hairdressers.

Bit of a gamble if it'll look like whatever you ask for, but hard times and all that.

Fair play to you for admitting it's your own fault for not realising the situation and not having any savings for such emergencies... a lot of people would blame anything and everything except themselves. Good on ya... hope you get sorted :)

ps - try and blag a lift to work for tomorrow from your new colleagues. Surely someone who works there lives close by...?

Ha! I wish i had even enough for a cheep hair cut!

Mums bday present is taken care of, step dad just rung n said he can take care of that, me and him are going halfs on one anyway so ill just pay him back, 1 down 1 to go. Mum will get my bus pass im hoping and ill talk to work today and see what they say about the fares for the taxis, see if they would take it out of my wage or something, then i can get them on weekends which makes this weekend easier.

How do people get them selves in such a mess! Ill learn..

Seriously if its that bad, and friends/family cannot help you out, bite the bullet and either sell something or pawn it for a few days until you can get it back.
THEN.....learn from this experience and don't let it happen again.

Its very good you have a plan to get out of this, my only other advice is to work as much as possible to improve your funds, then once you are comfortable reduce the hours.
 
an employer like the Hilton will be pretty sympathetic i should have thought - speak with your manager/HR people...

Work are going to have a look at my situation for me, i have to pay a work taxi tomo which is £1.50 which i can just about manage and then they will sort it out from there, if my mum gets me a bus pass i can use it tomorrow. If not ill rake up some bus fare, the bus pass is the only problem, i get that and i have no more issues. I can last until my first pay then.
 
Feel for you mate, it's been a while since I've been skint but I know how horrible it is. Don't panic though. You have at least two or three weeks without eating before you start to feel seriously weak! :p You will have money by then so don't worry.

I find it hard for some reason, i keep nearly doing stuff like this, when i didnt get paid that week, i had the backup luckily enough, before i got my last job i borrowed £15 off my mum for my weekly bus pass, which i later paid back.

This time though its much more serious, the holidays from the agency wernt what they told me, i was told i had 7 days and Kellys computer now says i had 4 and a half, so they paid me for that and no more.. which has left me in this trouble.

Been here before when I split up with my girlfriend and moved from weekly to salaried pay :(

LOL! I got well confused, i dont know how i did it, sorted it though.

I know for a fact my mum should be able to. Well, im hoping im right.

I dont know how i do it! My luck is just so bad you wouldnt belive! Ill learn though.
