Had to dial 999 :( Dad didnt know who I was!

Stay positive and stay strong dude, if anything your GCSE exams should be a distraction from what is going on for you so don't flop them even if things are extremely bad.

Hopefully your dad will be ok :)

Oh man thats harsh news!!

Yout in my thoughts dude, Chin up!! Keep yourself as active as possible, you need to be brave for your dad.

Be brave and youll get through it mate!

Best of luck,

James.

Feel for you my friend. Lost my father when I was 7 and Mum had a cancer scare last year, it's seriously horrible.

Terrible news for a 15 year old :(

Hope your Dad is OK dude. Stay strong and good luck with your exams. Make your school aware of the situation, I'm sure they'll be understanding.

Something similar happened to me years ago, but luckily it just turned out to be a result of dehydration. Nonetheless a scary experience though. I hope it's something just as simple for you.

Thats basically what i was going to say, it would be very strange for any long term degenerative disease to all of a sudden without previous diagnosis to cause such a severe and total loss of memory, who you were, where he was and be so dioriented. Parkinsons and Alzheimers sound fairly unlikely. being that you're 15 I wouldn't know exactly how old your dad is, but not likely to be much past 50 if he is over that, just doesn't sound right.

Dehydration can easily do it, which can be caused by a whole host of things, having the flu badly, sweating lots for days and not drinking enough, or a bunch of other fairly easy things. He could be concussed having fallen over or many many other fairly simple problems. To be told it could be one of a few very serious things over a phone call is ludicrous, especially when with those symptoms and at that age with no history what they suggested are among the least likely.

Hope it turns out ok, keep your chin up.

Oh Christ, that's not an enviable position to be in. Keep your head cool and your chin up. Hope you and your father will be ok. Try to get in touch with other family if you can, you two can't be completely alone, surely.

That's awful news and so much for you to be dealing with at your age.

I hope everything works out OK.

I couldn't agree more.

You seem like a strong chap for 15. Keep going mate everything will be OK.

My parents nearly devoiced when i was 15 and it was the worst time of my life. I made it tough and am much better for it. If I can do it you can. :)

You know where we are if you need help.

definitely tell your school about it because they seriously take it into account when grading you. sorry to hear about it. your doing your mum and dad proud
