Track car project - including diary of a track n00b

Didn't even notice it was doing it at the time although going into that corner was a bit of a 'clench' moment. The starts were a different matter though. I spent the first few seconds of each run in real discomfort waiting for my stomach to catch up. I've no idea how people with properly fast cars manage it.

Sorry Rob, we had such a hassle at Waterbeach with spectators not paying up and us being out of pocket that I didn't particularly invite anyone to this one :/

Woodbridge will be a good one anyway :D

I was definitely going too slow as I didn't have any stomach catch up moments! Ah well I get some more practice going Karting tonight so hopefully the experience should be beneficial :)

No probs will try and arrange to head down to Woodbridge nearer the time.

I don't go karting with Jane anymore after our almost relationship ending race last time out :p

Oops! Well fortunately I'm at the back and Phil is at the front so we tend not to get tangled too often!
 
Every race car needs a bit of carbon and that's not too stupidly priced so I thought "why not" Needed to replace the door cards at some point and probably would have spent half that much on big enough sheets of aluminium anyway, not to mention the faffing cutting them out.

The problem we had was Jane in 1st driving the worlds slowest 15' wide go kart in the world and me in second. Pulled a swift Schumacher special and I was on my way, I'll never forget the evils she gave me through the visor as she span through 180' :cool: *

* There is another version of this story where Jane was actually doing really well and I overcooked it coming into a bend and used her kart to slow me down and luckily came out in 1st place.... this version is obviously completely false

Lol!!

I'm officially broken after 'doing a Heiki' backwards into the tyre wall at Ellough. I can't move.

That's Phil offroading btw, he's number 56 and I'm 57 :)
