Spec me a hairdressers car

It's a cheap Mazda with an enormous price tag. Wait until its £5k and it'll be awesome.

you can get 08 plate ones for 12k already :p Hardly massive prices when you look a year or 2 old...how many cars worth buying are fun, droptop, cheap to insure, reliable, that are still in their manufacturer warranty are any cheaper?

Thing is Tom, Money saved + Bank account = you can buy another if it breaks :p

She likes the new shape though anyway :p There's no point in my arguing her to an older one as it's the mentality her entire family is in....on her drive there is a brand new pug 107 and a brand new bmw 116i (that he'd swapped an awesome e46 330Ci cab for :().....ive got no chance!

I quite like the new shape MX5, sure from a performance point of view it has problems but my missus won't care. To me it looks like a solid fun car at a reasonable price to me from a decent manufacturer.

Here's something I think she may swing to also though http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-u...&model=350+Z&min_pr=&max_pr=17000&max_mileage=

thoughts?

Also maybe something like this http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-u...BMW&model=Z4&min_pr=&max_pr=17000&max_mileage=

as for the mazda, what should I be looking for, the ammount of options/limited editions rivals the shoes she has in her dressing room.

Depends what she wants, the MX5 and 350Z are totally different classes of cars.

The Mazda will be cheaper to run and more fun to chuck around.

I was thinking that too, I suppose it CAN be a bit girly, depends on the girl whos driving it though :p

Well she's not the fluffy pink sort as mentioned before she just doesn't want a fiesta/mondeo/astra/tigra/figaro/bland euro crate

This nissan is the same colour almost as her honda hornet so that's a positive.

Well she's a woman so she doesn't know what she wants until she has sat in it and drove it, which I think is fairplay so i'm trying to generate a list of things for her to go and try out.

Oh and to the previous poster about the beetle.. uhm she said her friend with the cooper had a beetle prior to that so that's a no go also lol.

New MX5 is a good call.

A 2005 Chrysler Crossfire could be a possibility although the looks are a bit "love/hate"

A 2005 Alfa GT maybe? (possibly too big)

Mazda RX8 (A bit thirsty, but good looking and practical)

Mercedes SLK (2001-2003)?

Can you possibly do us a favour, read the OP, have a little think about whether your suggestion is valid, THEN post?

Becuase come on, do you REALLY think an Elise is a good suggestion?

WOW what a might HIGH horse you have there!

Round here the hairdressers mostly drive 206CCs, Cooper convertibles or new shape Celicas.

My wife is a hairdresser and drives a Leon :)
