Specifically, when you get back from a holiday?

When I come home from a holiday or sometimes just in general i love the smell of the air in the morning. Its sort of cool and clean.

I know this probably cant be said for london but in leeds it seems pretty cool and fresh. Even in canada and other cool countries it just doesnt smell the same.

I layed in bed this morning with the window open and didnt want to move becaue it was so nice

Plenty of things that i like about england lol, depends where in england ya live though if ya feel the same. Actually yeah the weather, here in Wolvo its a toasty 23 degrees :D.

Can i say 'the road to Scotland' lol...

Na, one thing i like is knowing what shops sell what items, newagents are great here and not one shops in supermarkets in trunks [lee evans joke there].

Well it can be said of the type of area you live in etc, like being smack bank in the middle of a city centre will smell different to that if you lived near open fields and farms etc which part of Leeds are you from btw?

Mine would be the people, we are a special bunch :D

Were quite down to earth, especially up north.

The greenery, its a huge spectacle, coming from portugal then hitting the green block that is england, fells like youve entered heaven compard to arid portugese sand.

Iceland beats any other country though and i hope to live there if i enjoy my holiday in a years time. :)

Another Leeds person answering in this thread...

Things I miss and like after getting back from holidays are the money, the language, some of the newspapers, the grass and the roads.

Living somewhere that isn't a hotel. Where you have all your stuff.
Also whilst our internet access isn't the best, it is better than some countries.

I guess they aren't specific to England though :p

From holiday my bed. Nothing beats your own bed and I'm always so knackered after hollidays anf fish and chips on the way back from the airport so you don't have to go shopping, cook or wash up.

generally:
Freedom, unlikely hood of wars, famine, natural disasters, no poisonous insects/animals.
Weather. Never that hot or that cold.
There's loads to love about the uk. It's just a shame we have very little land and even less land you can freely use.

Smell of the air, your own bed, good food, drinking water from a top, good roads.
