Does anyone here listen to his radio show on talksport?

I used to think he was fairly articulate and intelligent, but over the last month it has dawned on me that he isnt any of those! He never lets people finish what they are saying if he doesnt agree, and he wont provide reason for his answers. Does anyone else get as irritated with him as I do!?

I used to like him a lot a few years ago, but ever since returning from his illness (fair play to him for that) he seems to have lost the plot & his holier than thou attitude is even holier now. Mike Ditken is good though:)

You obviously never saw his TV show.

The man is a ego-tripping shock-jock, but that's what he gets paid for. People listen because he's annoying and contentious.

I think I remember it from years ago when I was a teen. Not sure if it was hom. All I can remember is him making fun of disabled people and having a person pretending to be a policeman offer to sell him drugs.

What illness did he have?

Oooo, friends and I used to finish Mr. Craigs in Leeds and then 'try' and get into his show - only made it once but was booted out after 2mins for swearing :(

The Wayne Hussey scene is still one of my fave funniest moments.

He does his job well. Gets people talking and debating. Can't really blame him I guess.

I used to listen to a chap called Ceasar and his sidekick was Eric Hall - they were both hilarious! Anyone know where Caesar is now?

Prostate cancer.

It was kidney cancer. He had a growth the size of a grapefruit apparently!

I still listen to him most nights although i do admit he's gone a bit downhill over the last few months. He has far to much religion on at the moment. The only time i switch off is when he has that con-man Derek Acorah on.

People get the wrong idea with Whale. They don't seem to understand that his on-air antics are designed to get peoples backs up. That's his job and he does it well. His Sunday afternoon show is terrible though. It just doesn't work at all.

I wasn't to happy when I heard this, used to listen to Whale at least 2-3 nights a week while drifting off to sleep. I don't always agree with him but he's passionate and makes entertaining listening.

You mean Mike Dickin? He died ages ago.

Out of interest, have these rules changed recently? I remember during the first London Mayoral election Chris Evans, then on Virgin was backing Ken on his show. I don't recall if he got punished or not but he wasn't sacked.

I don't really understand this. While I personally think that Boris was by far the least desirable of three candidates, I don't see why independent radio stations can't editorialise while newspapers are freely able to.

Ah yes, the relic that used to be free speech.

I think his judgment was clouded. If you ever listened to him you would have realised he hated Ken Livingstone with a passion

Still gonna miss his legendary interviews with the nutters of this world. Anyone remember his interview with the woman from that church in America where they picket soldiers funerals? that was good.

I used to listen to his show primarily because it was funny listening to how rude he was to people. I didn't agree with him very often!

I started listening to his show back in 97 when I first went to uni and thought it was great, even better as it had Ian Collins on afterwards. His interviews with David Ike were legendary.
