Scoobs US Style - what do you think ?

I like some of the aspects of them but there isn't one that overall I like, except maybe the white one at the end of the first batch.

Nah UK ones are much worse since, i mean you see them with all the cheap market decals on most of the time, and their usually they're driven by 30 Old Chavs now.
No offence to scoob drivers =)

I like the current US street trend with Scoobs, think it makes a massive change to the ones you normally see over here.

Fizz Autosport had one in Banzai last year sometime and it looked awesome.

So are the scoobs with those front lights available in the UK? Hawk eye? I saw some at a Subaru meet, but I know nothing about Scoobie's and wasn't sure if it was released over here as a facelift? if so, what year/revision? :)

I quite like the american style, better than the boy-racer style with massive ironing boards on the back we usualy get in this country.

Yup thats a Hawkeye, available here in the UK from late 06 to early 08. The special edition Hawkeyes were the RB320 and the GB270. IIRC the main differences between the Hawkeye and the Blobeye are the new headlights, the spoiler over the rear window and a 2.5l boxer engine instead of a 2.0l.

I saw an RB320 and it was amazing, really really nice car. I have some photos somewhere that I will upload. I am off to read up on Hawkeye's...they appeal to me! :)

The Hawkeye was the last of the proper imprezas

ive no doubt that the RB320 will become a classic in the same way the RB5 is one of the last great classics.

It may even become the new shape equivalent of the P1

makes a change from all the rally reps in the uk whose owners only bleat on about 1/4 mile times

spoken like someone who can't keep up with one.. you sound bitter :(

actually a quick standing 1/4 time gives a good indication of how the car will accelerate and perform on the roads..

do you know a better figure to quote that will give a idea of how a car feels and performs ?

say a car can do 12sec 1/4 with hmhmmh, 145 terminal, that shouts to me, omg.. fast off line and through gears.

agreed, like or loathe them. Criticise the tacky interior plastics and rally rep styling

but the fact of the matter is, theres no quicker way to cover ground than an impreza or an evo for the same ammount of money. Theres just nothing that can come close to speed achieved by an STI for the same £25k that an impreza costs new

Sure you can buy a 2nd hand M5 etc.. but new. Theres nothing close.

Wrong.

Wrong.

:)

*n

good argument ;)

I think this used to be the case until quite recently, but there are a lot of cars now with similar power outputs.. shame most of them are way to heavy and soggy to be a good challenger

scoobs / evo's take some beating for everyday road kicks on a budget

my issue is not with the cars themselves.... it's the owners who crack on about their fantastic "rally reps" 24/7 and only worry about straightline performance comparators.

but I think in many cases they are justified as they are fantastic, a rally rep if done properly is always gonna be a animal on the road... if done right they should go round corners fine as well
