Do i have to pay for phone call cost to reactivation my vista retail install

I need to reactivation my install of vista 64bit (Full retail) after changing my motherboard...

but is there anyway of doing this without having to pay for phone call costs ???

(i only have a mobile phone,,0800 numbers from mobile phone where i live are not free)

I haven't owned a lineland phone for a few years....Only use my mobile...

Am trying to activation my vista install by SMS now..(Edit : activation by SMS didn't work :()

Its still your phone providers fault, they may blame physical limitations but we all know for well that means sod all now days. They charge because they can, like mobile carriers do really, so its still there fault, Microsoft have provided a free of service number which they foot the bill for either way, its not their fault some stupid providers charge you, its out of their control. Thank god its not an 9870 to begin with.
 
Actually lots of mobile providers charge for 0800 calling, because the company running the 0800 number doesn't want to pay for the cost of accepting a mobile call.

Either way, I'm sure with a spec like you've got listed in your signature you can afford a few pence for the call.
 
you don't pay anything for activation, oif you are being charged for an 0800 number go moan to the people charging you. the software maker is not these people...

Every major road has a payphone and can make 0800 calls so take a notepad and go use that :/

I thought all mobile networks offered free 0800 calls now? With O2 you just remove the first 0, I just presumed they would all be like that!

Use Skype as said!
 
To be fair it is microsofts fault for having activation in the first place and not allowing him to activate online. A retail version shouldn't have to be activated anyway. Pirates must be laughing as they type in their VLK's.

Guernsey don't offer free 0800 calls from any of are mobile companys as far as i know.....(E.G cable & wireless, wave telecoms)

(I don't use/have Skype)
 
0800 toll free call are for UK but dont included Channel Island - it just few mins to get new keys through MS for activation - about 2-3 mins roughly. I used my minicom through typetalk service that took 2 mins after i installed new 2 x 1TB hard drive but a week later deicded to reformatted again and then reactivation went through prefect without contact MS.
