I guess, but getting a impreza / evo to this kind of level is a lot cheaper as they such a good base for mods

All of them look poor.

This is the only american Impreza I like, apparently its not a turbo though :(

Out of curiosity, what would you build with it, im assuming you would start with a basic car of some sort, rather from scrap up.

Out of the box new at 25K I can't think of anything that wil perform as good as either on our roads. However, I've seen a near standard classic STI Type R out drag an FQ340 so IMO, classics are the best for raw performance. But I am biased. I'd spend the 25K on a classic STI RA.

Funnily enough, I was looking at these pics yesterday. Most of them are in the agressive wheels thread on NASOIC. I thought about a link but knew they wouldn't get a good response in here. Sadly its now "cool" to slate Imprezas. Not that what people think of them will stop me buying another :)

My favorite in the first post is the 2nd from last black hawk eye.
 
I love Imprezas. Even the new one is growing on me once its had the right mods.

All the ones in this thread are gay, US Fast and Furious style cars suck willys.

Even though i do like Imprezas i do Agree with Penski.
With 25k Pound you could get a car and tune its nuts off and it would be a great track or B road car and flog the crap out of anything in its way:cool:
 
Dont like the US versions. Need to stick to the 'rally' look.

There cant be that many down here and it was sellin for $80k AUD

Why would I do that? MrLOL said nothing about brand new and I said that it would be easy to spank a new Impreza/Evo for 25 grand.

Now all the fanboys are saying it must be another new car. What next? It has to be blue with gold wheels? It has to be Japnese?

Your making yourself look a bit daft mate. You said you can take 25K and build a car that will out perform a new Impreza or EVO for the same money. I and some others asked how you would do it and you make somewhat pointless replies.

Why not just explain what you would do with the 25K in as much as what car would you build. Its hardly a complicated question.

And if you assume that Japanese fan bois can only beleive it has to be Japanese, I'm well aware that 25K thrown at a reasonably competent car can be made into a very fast car, more so than a new Impreza/EVO

The possibilities are virtually useless.

E30 with turbocharged S12 mill, 5-stud, wide-track etc.

Porsche 928 with procharger.

Hell, a spaceframe clad in the body of your choice and rocking a brand new LS-series engine would do just fine.

everybody else got my post, how come you didnt ?

you'd have be truely deluded to think 25k cant get you anything quicker than an STI. For gods sake, even used 993 Porkas start dipping into that sort of money.

I was of course referring to new off the shelf cars available at a list price of 25k. There arent any that i can think of, that are faster than than evo / impreza.
