Well just thought id ask here, anyone got any links to decent articles or ebooks etc that have some stuff about how lighting and music can effect mood/emotion, preferably in film or animation.

Iv got my diss in 2moro and iv missed this research section out which was a bit silly, and im really rushed to get it all finished on time so just wondered if anyone had some goldmine links for stuff i can writeup and reference in it.

Im not asking you to write my work, im asking if anyone knows any decent resources to work from. THANKS!

I always find it depressing when a student writes a post as if they've had barely any education whatsoever.

"2moro"?

I always find it annoying when you get trolls on internet forums who have nothing better to do other than to wind up people asking for help.

Its quite clear that the OP was written quickly, and its quite clear what it means.

Education can be defined as 'the gradual process of acquiring knowledge'
I have learnt through experience that '2moro' can be used to replace 'tommorow' in quick/short/informal electronic chat instances. Therefore I am educated in what could be described as living in the current day western world.
You might want to try getting some education in the current day too, you might learn some tolerance and find something else to occupy your time instead of forum trolling.

Thanks, constructive posts only from now on please, with reference to the request in the OP.

yellow = happy

red - angry

and i forget what blue is.

Personally i like to think of education as the gradual realisation of your lack of knowledge :)

Where it is awkward to type, I completely agree with you, but I am assuming you are not using a phone pad to post on OcUK?

But whatever, back to your request...

Yea but its quicker bashing 2, and iv been in phone mode all day for informal chat, maybe it was just me wanting to stop writing informal since iv been doing that all day on the dissertation.

Tefal i need some resources i can use as references to say why each colour is associated with that, or basically Mr.X says red = angry/horror/psychotic so its true.
Then i need some sound ones.. and some lighting strength/angle ones. hah im such a nob leaving this till last minute.

lol no worries, about last minute stuff I'm the same.

Sorry about not knowing links I'm just going on some stuff I've heard a awhile ago. but I'll have a look around some journals for you :)

edit: i also remember that boxers often listen to rock etc before a match to get pumped up.

yea Iv made a problem where basically u manipulate lighting angles and strength and colour, aswell as background music(track and volume) aswell as having controls over other ambient noises(and their volumes) and the odd effect, such as zoom camera, playback speed, fog and strobe lighting.

It pretty much fully works, but doesnt really work as well as it should, probably cos its in flash and it should really be 3d. I just need some journals etc about how lighting can be used and sound to reference, nothing indepth, just basically saying ill include this in the application because Mr.X says it can be altered in various ways to change mood/emotion of a scene.

Iv got a neutral animation playing(no smiles or anything, crowd walking forward) and the idea is to make a story with the sound/lights/effects/camera.

Heh.

**edit gunna get a few hours kip now, up for about 7 for final lesson at uni.. its worth 20% of a module so iv gota go :(
