It was great, i loved the variety of the vehicles, really made the game worth pushing on to see what you would unlock, hopefully this is more of the same with better graphics.

This is what I expect from a proper driving game, a game where breaking is pivotal and unforgiving over a split-second delay, a game where the car has weight and you feel it as you race, with proper turning and atmosphere so thick you could literally touch it.
This is a game where we'll seperate the proper driving game players (me) from the chaff (you). Let's get it on!

very arcade driving physics
not a match on forza or gran turismo
car turns from a centre axis or front bumper not the wheels racing games should never have that these days
its still fun
looks great amazing and no slowdown with 20 cars on grid crashes are very good all looks fun but not a realistic game i was expecting

See I agree with that and I think when people play about a bit with the cars they will see the handling isn't up to much, but it will still be fun and looks very good.
The graphics are nice and its fast and furious.
The car handling to me is pretty good and the damage effects are very good.
I am waiting for the demo to go up on the delaystaion so i can compare them so i can make up my mind on which version to get.

The mustang is a bit of a beast though :|
The bmw drives so nice, played online against 2 french guys and whooped them >.>
Love the voices/ Where it says "hi Tom" when you go on it, and the radio talk in game is nice too.
THe menu is amazing also, really nice to see something fresh!

That's a drift competition.
that is the drift mode really not a good example of breaking for a corner
and it is quite challenging to drift
It really is if you don't want to take the ass end off your car. I kept wiping everything out
.For the people that say it isn't "realistic" this game is not meant to be the "super sim" that Forza and GT are it is meant to be more about the fun and thrill of the driving which to me makes sense that the handling would be like it was in DiRT, a bit more arcadey.
It is just a shame that I can't get at it, not internet for another week or so! They best activate my adsl line soon!

The graphics are stunning, I'm guessing it uses a variation of the Dirt engine. The car handling is fun more than realistic but as Nate said above it's not trying to be Sim. The menus are super polished and is what I come to expect from Codemasters (Dirts menu system was very sleek).
