To lock, or not to lock - garden shed.

Hello,
I have just built a new metal garden shed. Its not that strong really and the stuff in there isnt worth that much.
A spade, fork, cheap lawn mower, fence panels, timber posts some bags of concrete and other bits and bobs.
My question.

Is it worth me padlocking the shed, or should I just leave it unpadlocked?

What would you do? :confused:

I would padlock it, even if it's just a small one. Why make it easy?

I wouldn't lock it. I would just put a sign on the door saying free stuff just so nobody will be disappointed when they open the door?

lock or no lock, if they wanting to get in they will, if its locked, prolly damage your shed breaking in.

Not really if you actually think about it.

a locked shed shows that ther eis something in there worth locking up

no lock = nothing worth locking up, maybe have a peep and "oh yeh, nothing really worth nicking". You then get no damage done to your shed rather than two busted doors.

Lock it, people can use your own garden tools to break into your house. Also there are some people who will nick ANYTHING if they can get away with it.

nail on head, they use your tools to break in, and the leave them there, cant get done for going equipped etc!

happened to the house over the road from me!

You'll feel so silly when they use the tools out of the unlocked shed to break into your house and steal all your good stuff I bet

Have you seen the simpsons episode with the trampoline? cant give it away until they lock it up.
