would be awesome if it's possible for them to release new Mario Kart tracks, there should be 120 tracks, not 30 odd :(

No chance of downloading patches, etc, as the DS has no internal memory.

I suppose you could just about do it, but it would only persist till the DS was turned off.

it has to have some, just none that's normally accessible to the user

It has 256kb of internal memory, which I think stores the firmware. I doubt that's enough for patches, etc, especially as I doubt any of the games will have been designed with patches in mind.

I doubt it. I imagine it'll work much like the singe-card multiplayer functions of many DS games work - it'll download the demo into RAM, and play it from there.

As for patches/updates, I guess it depends on how much saveable memory the cartridges have, and if there's enough spare. Things like tracks for MK could conceivably work though, as you could store them on the Wii, and download them as they come up in-game. That said, that's probably bloody hard to code, and if it's not already in the game (I'm sure they would have mentioned it), I doubt it's going to be easy to shoehorn in.

fair enough, i don't own a DS, was just guessing :)

Well i just put some time into the channel and i dont have any complaints.

DS demos were fast and simply to download, videos were fine, tho i am not able to test them on an hdtv at this time and you can look up info on games.

But I doubt the DS was designed with that functionallity in mind.
Also, there has to be a fair whack of internal memory somewhere, for space to download the games through wifi, or for single cart multiplayer.
Also, there is already a RAM adaptor for the GBA slow, for the DS browser. They could release something which you could use to store patches for games on. Maybe.

Why are you all desperate for DS patches? Wouldnt it be better for the devs to just get it right the first time like they always used to. Plus the PSP has capacity for patches but they thankfully haven't made it on to the platform yet. Though looking at the PS3 its only a matter of time before sony decide to release hundreds of cripplingly slow huge patches.

I think the DS should have a bit of memory for demos but its just a handheld it should remain simple.

Conversely the wii really needs to get in on the DLC bandwagon. Its just not good enough that games like GH3 get extras that Wii owners cant access.
