Do i have to pay for phone call cost to reactivation my vista retail

To be fair it is microsofts fault for having activation in the first place and not allowing him to activate online. A retail version shouldn't have to be activated anyway. Pirates must be laughing as they type in their VLK's.

I agree. I commend Microsoft for trying to provide a free service, but it obviously falls short in certain circumstances. Although there's still some people who haven't got an internet connection, so I guess an online activation only will also cause a few headaches. What happened to the good old days where you didn't need to activate

Only thing that bothers me with Vista activation is that it's so twitchy. Add to that the fact that you get one activation per call (as opposed to five per XP call to activate) and I think it's a royal pain in the backside.

This just shows how stubborn you are and how you want to have something to complain about. Skype is a mere free download away and would save you the pence you spent!
Don't i need a skype phone or mic or something to use skype

(And why should i have to download & install a third party app just to reactivation vista for free )

MS vista activation sucks.....

You answered your own question there: because you chose to save money by not having a land line and then complain when your decision isn't always the cheapest method.

This isn't MS' fault.

You would think MS would know how to make software that can be reactivation online by now,,,(like every other piece of software i have installed/used so far can)

It can most of the time, but if you've activate dthe same product key before they want the ability to check you're not doing anything stupid, and you can't do that online.

Look whichever angle you look at this, the fact is, we don't get hundreds of people complaining the same thing, its either your fault (for not having a landline) or your carriers fault (if you have a landline/mobile) for charging you for a tole free number.

Just outta Interest, what type of internet connection has Chaparral got? ADSL maybe???;)

Rob:cool:

(yes i have a landline line,,,But i don't own a landline phone,,As i binned the phone a few years ago when trying to knock down the amount of cables i have collecting behind my desk)

Chaparral - your a morron!

Your bashing MS for something that is nothing to do with them, and rather then spend the £1 to get a Cheapo phone, you'd rather spend £££ on a 6 min Mobile phone call, and then b1tch about it - Get a life!
