Cant say I have much hope for it as its same crowd who made COD3, not Infiniti Ward. :(

Yes made by a company that only does consoles games (till this).

Thats also why COD3 was not as good as the rest of the series on the Console, because Infintiti Ward are Kings at it.
 
Well, if this takes some pressure off IW to churn out the next proper COD too quickly, then I don't care. Who knows, maybe it'll be alright.
 
Had a horrible feeling that the guys behind COD4 wouldn't be doing this one :(

Hopefully they'll be back for next years game.
 
Was COD1 any good on PC? Are we going to be getting only the even numbers on PC being any good? COD2, COD4, COD6?

COD4 was awsome, but if IW arent doing this one..... I smell a console port.
 
Making it for PS2 and Wii as well?

Won't look too good then? Oh well I didn't think COD3 was that bad, certainly the worst of the series, but still not terrible
 
wrong forum section. This is console not PC. Anyway better that Infinity take time for CoD6 and push the envelope further than make a crap sequel the following year. I can be patient - but CoD6 needs to deliver, and that will be no easy feat - but it is possible (original setting, improved graphics, larger maps, co-op multi, medic class, destructible environments + no more noobish heli/air strikes)

Everyones going to have to seriously limit there expectations of COD5 if ya ask me. They just cant recreate the same "feel" of the game like IW.
 
How about WWI? Seems to me that there's a distinct lack of WWI FPS/action. Although I suppose there weren't so many daring missions to call upon from that period, rather lots of stalemate trench warfare instead, and less technology. They did have early submarines, tanks and planes though.
 
Vietnam or Korea could be good settings. Think Vietnam would probably be a better choice due to bigger selection of toys to play with. Problem with Vietnam, it has beeen tried but none have been that good (not even BFV), afterall it is hard to balance the teams due to better american weaponry.

Anyway one cool thing about Cod4 was that you had eastern countries and mideast settings. If it's Vietnam it cannot be all jungle, will need to have cities too like Hue, during the Tet offensive.

It was announced months ago COD5 was going to be awarded to the same peeps as COD3 was awarded to ( Treyarch ) and would be WW2 (suppose it could change).

Infiniti Ward have been awarded COD6.


I have also EDITED my OP, Highlighted, Underlined and made it Bold, to help peeps like lunarwolf who dont seem to read too well and say this should be in the Console section. ;)

Not entirely sure it needs the sarcasm. Yes, this game will be on PC. But it is wel known that it will be a primarily console game with a port tacked on to keep us PC gamers happy.
 
I can be sarcastic If I choose im my own thread. :)

He did not open his eyes or engage his brain before opening his mouth and letting his belly rumble as pointed out by 2 others. :p
