To be fair it is microsofts fault for having activation in the first place and not allowing him to activate online. A retail version shouldn't have to be activated anyway. Pirates must be laughing as they type in their VLK's.
I agree. I commend Microsoft for trying to provide a free service, but it obviously falls short in certain circumstances. Although there's still some people who haven't got an internet connection, so I guess an online activation only will also cause a few headaches. What happened to the good old days where you didn't need to activate
