There was no referendum they did not ask the people if they could go to war so they did not need their support, so why do it? was kind of the gist of that...

I listen to most of the BBC podcasts and 9/11 references are still there. TV shows(mostly american) and movies(mostly american) still make refer back to it.

I was talking more about the protests, rather small but when you got that TV coverage, it's not suprising. I was probably too young to know what a referendum was or understand. Even if there was one, doubt it would make much difference

But there wasn't one so the public had no say in the war, so why would they need to kill 3 thousand people to get it?

With TV coverage, the govs work was already done in garnering support. A referendum would have been a waste of time and resources I take it

WHAT?!! ok listen you said they did 9/11 to gain support for the war, right?

Yet without a referendum they don't need the peoples support to go to war, so there was no need for them to do 9/11.

I didn't say they did 9/11. I said if the BBC did get advance warning it would have been cos the US knew about it, not carried it out. I don't think the US had anything to do with directly. They may not need a referendum but coverage certainly helps to keep support, gain troops and funding etc. I think you misuderstood me first time round I misunderstood yak.h'cir

Sorry for getting wires crossed but,

They don't need to gain troops the marines alone are like what nearly a million strong? and they can;t exactly quite without notice.

They get all the funding they need regardless of what the people think,

And as for the bbc getting advanced warning they didn't know the attack was going to happen days before one confused reporter reported a building was collapsing, a short time before it did.

Nah, thats just the face again, I mean the whole region of Cydonia, the pyramids are further to the left, but even in that photo you can see the face, the close up they gave out looks nothing like that.

My comments weren't reserved just for the UK it's pretty tame compared to the reactions where it actually happened
